Norgespris (fixed-price)
From October 1, electricity customers can choose between two different electricity support schemes; Norgespris (fixed price) or regular electricity support.
With the Norway price, you get a fixed electricity rate of 50 øre/kWh (incl. VAT) - at home and at the cabin.
You will still retain your regular electricity agreement with your power supplier. The Norway price will be administered by the network companies, and the support will be deducted from the network lease invoice, similar to today's electricity support scheme.
If you do not want the Norway price on electricity, you don't need to do anything and will keep the current electricity support scheme.
Briefly about Norgespris
Advantage of having electricity and network rent on the same invoice
At Gudbrandsdal Energi, you can receive both electricity and network rental on the same invoice, known as consolidated billing, provided that we have an agreement with your network owner.
It is the network companies that will handle Norgespris, in the same way they handle the electricity support today, by deducting the support amount from the network tariff.
If you have pass-through billing when the spot price is higher than 50 øre per kWh, including VAT, the Norway Price support is deducted from the total amount for electricity and grid rental. This is particularly beneficial if the Norway Price support is higher than the grid rental amount.
If you don't have consolidated billing, you must pay for the electricity to your electricity supplier yourself, while waiting for reimbursement from the grid company.
